Snow, Sleet, Ice Day

We finally had some snow!! The first of the season actually. It turned to sleet and then ice. There was a nice thick layer of ice on the cars, roads and everywhere else! I'm not sure if these pictures do it justice, but it looked like my car was a big maroon popsicle! Kind of fun to clean off if you like that kind of thing!!

Of course the kids had a ball playing in the snow. They played so much that both boys were crying because they were so cold!!

Da Bomb

A few of the deals I found!

I have become somewhat of a coupon/deal finding guru in the past year. I went this morning at 6:30am to our local grocery store to take advantage of their Triple Coupon special this week. After loading up my cart I went to the check out, where the cashier patiently scanned my 53 items then scanned my 45 coupons. I chatted up the woman behind me in line, trying to explain that with 4 kids you have to use a lot of coupons! She was very patient when the cashier had to get the manager to come over 3 or 4 times to turn the key so some of the coupons would scan. When the cashier was done the woman behind me asked, "How much did you save?" The cashier answered $71.00!! Then the woman behind me exclaimed, "You're the bomb Mom!!" And in that moment, standing there in my rolled out of bed look of sweats, glasses, ponytail and holey tennis shoes, having just saved my family a bunch of $$, I somehow did feel like DA BOMB!!!

Since this is my first post, I thought I would just show some cute pictures of the kids, referred to on this blog (and anytime we have to label things at home!) as C1, C2, C3, and C4. Hopefully, I will get the hang of this and post more things as we go!!
